This Privacy Policy explains how Sparketernal Technologies Private Limited ("ShopEG", "Company", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data. It applies to our sellers, to the customers who shop through seller storefronts powered by ShopEG, and to anyone who visits our websites or uses our applications (together, "you").

ShopEG provides sellers with a custom online storefront (available as an installable app) and the software that lets their customers browse products, place orders, and arrange delivery. When you use any of this software, this Policy describes how your information is handled.

By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

ShopEG is operated by Sparketernal Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. For the personal data we handle to provide our own services, ShopEG acts as the entity responsible for that data. Sellers remain responsible for how they independently use customer information they obtain through their storefront.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account and contact details: name, email address, phone number, and postal address.
• Order and transaction information: details of products ordered, order history, amounts, and related communications (excluding card or bank details, as explained below).
• Delivery location: delivery address and location information needed to fulfil and deliver orders.
• Device and usage data: information about the device, browser, and how you interact with our websites and apps, including log data, approximate location derived from your connection, and diagnostic information.
• Cookies and analytics identifiers: identifiers set through cookies and similar technologies used to understand usage and improve our services.

Payment information: ShopEG does not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank account details. Payments are processed directly by third-party payment partners, and that information is handled under their own privacy terms.

We use personal data to:

• Create and manage accounts and storefronts.
• Process, fulfil, and deliver orders, and arrange returns or cancellations.
• Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• Send service-related communications, such as order updates and important notices.
• Understand how our services are used, through analytics, so we can maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our products.
• Protect against fraud, misuse, and security risks, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run our services, with the following types of recipients:

• Sellers: when you place an order through a seller's storefront, the information needed to fulfil that order (such as your name, contact details, and delivery address) is shared with the relevant seller.
• Payment partners: third-party payment gateways that process your payments directly.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers: we host our applications and data on cloud infrastructure, including Google Firebase / Google Cloud.
• Analytics providers: we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand usage and improve our services.
• Communication providers: services that help us send emails, messages, and notifications.
• Legal and safety: authorities or other parties where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ShopEG, our users, or the public.

Service providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it appropriately.

We and our analytics providers use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, measure usage, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how parts of the service work.

We keep personal data for as long as it is needed to provide our services and for as long as required to meet our legal, regulatory, accounting, or reporting obligations. When data is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.

You can request to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can make these requests by emailing us at support@shopeg.in. If you use our Android app, you can also use the data deletion process available within the app. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and continually improve our safeguards.

Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
